Despatch Schedule

At Lincs Cake Dec we despatch Monday to Friday and despatch within 1 to 2 days of receiving payment.

Next Day orders placed before 11am are prioritised to be sent same day. We aim to dispatch most orders placed before 11am the same day. We process despatch notifications in bulk at the end of the working day, rather than at the time of despatch.

Packages are despatched via collections from UK Mail every weekday afternoon. We do not "drop off" any parcels for delivery and as such our dispatch is confined to these collections. Despatch cannot be made on a Bank Holiday.

Whilst every effort is made to deliver orders within our estimated time frames please be aware that delays may occur on occasion, due to unforeseen factors. Jamph Trading and Lincs Cake Dec will not be held liable/responsible for delays to deliveries outside of our control, such as traffic or weather constraints, 3rd party delays or strike action.

Delivery estimates are based on postal and courier transit times such as the time that the package is likely to be processed and out for delivery, this does not include the day that the order is processed by Lincs Cake Dec. 

Standard (3 - 5 Working Days) - Free Shipping over £30 

Free Shipping on orders over £30 and under total weight of 2kg applies to certain UK Mainland addresses only. More information in the section below ‘UK Postcode Zoning’ will apply at checkout. To receive free shipping, the total product value must be over the £30.00 threshold after any discounts have been applied. 

For orders under £30 and under total weight of 2kg, a £2.99 delivery charge is applicable which will be carried by standard UK Mail Packet Service and in most cases will be delivered within 3 working days of despatch, but we would expect an order to be delivered within the time frame of 5 days. This delivery charge excludes all the exceptions listed below.

Delivery costs to these destinations are stated for customer reference.

If a package exceeds the size and weight limits of UK Mail services an alternative courier will be used. The service to be used is decided on the weight, size and value of the package(s). 

Items under 2kg and within Royal Mail medium parcel dimensions can be sent to all UK postcodes via UK Mail within 3 to 5 working days (including despatch times), with the exception of the Channel Islands. UK Mail determines the Channel Islands as International and will therefore be despatched by DHL Parcel UK Ltd on a next day service at the charge set by this courier.

 

Next Working Day - From £5.99

Next Working Day delivery is available for orders placed before 11am for same day despatch. This is NOT a guaranteed service, if you require specific products within a specific timescale please contact us first before placing order. Please allow for courier delays when placing your order as this cannot be foreseen by Lincs Cake Dec.


This is a next working day service, as such deliveries on this service are made Monday to Friday only. Deliveries are made by our courier between 9am and 6pm. You must provide an email address when you place your order and you will receive information from the courier on the morning of the delivery to advise an hour timeslot of when the delivery will be made; this cannot be pre-selected by Lincs Cake Dec.

Alternatively you can rearrange your delivery using the link on the confirmation email from DHL Parcel UK Ltd to change the date, leave with a neighbour, leave in a safe place, or use one of the 1200 service points local to you to collect from there.

Someone will need to be present to accept the package as the delivery requires a signature. 


If you wish to place an order for next day delivery after 11am, please call us first on 07479415114 to check availability, depending on how busy we are we may or may not be able to offer this service. Please feel free to select this service after 11am if you are happy that the order would not be dispatched for 24 hours and therefore result in a two day delivery service.

The amount payable for this service will increase dependent on the weight of the order.

UK Postcode Zoning

Items under 2kg and within Royal Mail medium parcel dimensions can be sent to all UK postcodes via UK Mail within 3 to 5 working days including despatch times, with the exception of the Channel Islands. UK Mail determines the Channel Islands as International and will therefore be despatched by DHL Parcel UK Ltd on a next day service at the charge set by this courier.

Parcels over 2kg and larger in volume cannot be sent via UK Mail Packet Service and can only be sent by DHL Parcel UK Ltd. DHL Parcel UK Ltd, sets specific criteria for different UK Offshore postcodes which will change the price we can offer for shipping, alongside the delivery times after despatch. Please note that there is a surcharge for different zones set by DHL Parcel UK Ltd within the UK for parcels over 2kg and over specific dimensions. This is outside the control of Lincs Cake Dec.

Please note that discounted rates apply, where possible, dependant on the total order value. We endeavour to provide the lowest shipping cost.

DHL Parcel UK Ltd

All items sent with DHL Parcel UK Ltd require a contact email address with each order.

An order confirmation with be sent by the courier detailing the date for delivery.

DHL Parcel UK Ltd provide an hour timeslot on the date of delivery.

International Deliveries

International Deliveries are available to both Europe and the Rest of the World. Once items have been added to your basket you will be able to change the shipping country to your location. If your country has yet to be set a shipping cost be contact us directly.

International parcels are collected by UK Mail/DHL Parcel UK Ltd, however an alternative shipping provider maybe used after collection, in transit, depending on the shipping destination. This is to provide you with best service for your purchase

The customer is responsible for any customs charges to receive your parcel. This maybe incorporated within the delivery charge due to the policy of our shipping serivce

Click & Collect

Click and Collect is available for our local customers.

Our Click and Collect service gives you greater access to our products and saves you time at checkout. Our store operates 16 hours per week. Collection times operate outside these hours to compliment the store times.

Click and Collect offers a day and time of your choosing within the parameters we can offer. An email confirmation will be sent to confirm your selection after checkout and payment. If the time you require is unavailable or your circumstances change and you cannot make your selected time, please contact us on 07479415114 or by email info@lincscakedec.co.uk.

Please note that the shop is not open outside our normal hours and collections outside shop opening hours can only be for goods bought online using the click and collect service.

Goods not collected for 14 days without any communication from the customer will be automatically restocked to store and the order refunded to prevent credit card charges applied to Lincs Cake Dec by our payments provider.

PhotoCake

All PhotoCake purchases are printed to order and maybe sent separately from other purchases using Standard Delivery. Due to the fragility of Premium Icing Sheets, other items you may purchase could damage your PhotoCake sheet in transit.

If you require your PhotoCake print on a next day service a surcharge will apply. In this instance it would be best practice to purchase any PhotoCake products separately for other items and create two orders.

The Recipient's Responsibilities

Placing an Order

It is the responsibility of the customer to provide a full and correct address and contact details. We will not be liable for any delivery errors arising from an incorrectly information. See non-receipt of orders below.

If delivery is attempted but unsuccessful it is the responsibility of the recipient to contact the delivery company, via details left on a calling card, email or text message, to arrange re-delivery or collection.

Upon Receipt of Goods

Upon receiving your order we ask that you check its contents and report any discrepancies found (if any) within 48 hours. You can contact us on 07479415114 or by email info@lincscakedec.co.uk.. If any signs of damage to the box are evident upon delivery please check the contents before signing. If the goods look affected do not sign for the order, it will be returned to ourselves and we will issue a new order.

In cases of damaged goods or missing items we will require photographs to allow us to investigate with our packing team and couriers.

 

Changes & Cancellations

As shipments are dispatched via collection, changes to an order cannot be accepted once the order is with our packing and dispatch team and cancellations may not be accepted after 12pm as packages will be committed to our various collections.

Non-Receipt of Orders

Please inform us of non-delivery of your order within 7 days from the expected date of delivery, this allows ample, reasonable time to check with couriers whether your parcel is being held, tracking information can be provided and re-delivery or collection can be arranged. No claims for non-delivery of your complete order will be allowed unless the company is advised within 21 days from the order date for UK Customers or 35 days from the order date for Overseas Customers.

In the event of:

  1.  Packages delayed / returned due to non-collection or arrangement of re-delivery;

Our couriers' agents will leave a note if no signatory is present to receive the delivery. It is your responsibility to call the delivery company to arrange a re-delivery, or collect the parcel.

  1. Packages returned due to incorrect address supplied;

The customer is responsible for supplying the full and correct shipping address, orders will be sent to addresses as supplied.

You will be liable for the cost of us re-sending the goods if the parcel is returned to us marked as 'Not called for' or is due to incorrect or insufficient address details. Failure to comply with these charges will result in the order being cancelled and refunded; original postage costs will not be returned. Parcels will only be resent once the charges have been met.

  1. Customs charges not paid

It is the responsibility of the customer to be aware of and to pay any customs charges due to receive the parcel in another country.

You will be liable for the cost of any charges incurred by the courier to Lincs Cake Dec for a returned package, including shipping and fines; original postage costs will not be returned. You will be liable for the cost of us re-sending the goods if the parcel is returned to us. Failure to comply with these charges will result in the order being cancelled and refunded. Parcels will only be resent once the charges have been met.
